Doing what we can
At Bonvivant Dress we are committed to supporting the journey to net carbon zero. We are passionate about reducing waste in the fashion industry and see that supporting our suppliers and customers with making effective choices can make a real tangible difference.
Special garments only come out at special occasions. They are made to the highest standard, but get the lowest use - it’s a tragedy! We believe that these dresses have more to give and making them available to rent let’s them reach their potential and stops them going to waste.
Suppliers
We prioritise relationships with designers from the UK who are also committed to reducing environmental impact. We buy in bulk to reduce packaging and transit waste and ensure that packing material are recyclable.
Cleaning
Our customers return their rental garments to us for cleaning. We use local dry cleaners who do not use perc in their cleaning service (the nasty chemicals that hugely damaging to the environment).
Rent V Hire
Our dresses are available to purchase, but our advice to our customers is always think about how much use you will have from the garment and the investment you’re making. Hiring allows for the dress to be used many more times and reduces waste to landfill.
Day to day
At Bonvivant Dress we are paperless in our operation, use wooden hangers from sustainable sources and recycle all packaging from our suppliers. We use non-woven polypropylene garment protectors. This material uses less resources to produce than cotton, is fully re useable and recyclable - as well keeps our beautiful dresses protected in transit.
